Vladimir Arkadyevich is the head of the Department of Agrochemicals and Plant Biochemistry of the Faculty of Soil Science, He graduated from the Faculty of Soil Science of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in 1987 and the Full-time Graduate School of the Faculty in 1990. Headed the Laboratory of Geographical Regularities of Fertilizer Action and Information Support of the Geographical Network of Fertilizer Experiments in VNII Agrochemicals named after D.N. uniting more than 300 field stationary experiments.
The main focus of the scientific work is the assessment and prediction of carbon stocks in arable soils, taking into account the relationships between crop yields and soil fertility, optimization of plant minerals and global climate change.
Candidate of Life Sciences (1991), Doctor of Life Sciences (2011), Professor of RAS (2015). Vladimir Arkadyevich has been teaching since 2012, and has taught five general and specialized courses. Coordinator and participant of 4 international scientific projects , as well as RFFI grants.
Has over 230 scientific publications, including 26 collective monographs. Author of Working Group 5 of the IPCC Assessment Report under Agriculture.
He is responsible secretary of the editorial board of «Agrochemia», part of the editorial board of scientific journals «Fertility», «Problems of ecological monitoring and ecosystem modelling», periodical scientific-methodical «Geonetwork bulletin»head of the expert board of the FANO reference group in the direction of «Plant Production Technologies».
Romanenkov V.A. is a member of three dissertation councils in specialty «Agrochemia», including the dissertation council at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
