World Bank and ECFS experts met online with case study applicants on May 25 to answer questions about the Call for Proposals: Case Studies on Food and Nutrition Security Policy in Eurasia.
About one hundred participants were registered for the event. This means that the Eurasian region has many researchers who are ready to address the COVID-19 crisis and help policy makers develop measures aimed at assisting food systems to recover after the shock. The purpose of the webinar was to provide more information about the selection criteria and give directions on how to prepare a good proposal, as well as to answer any other questions related to the application process. We are reminding that proposals for case studies are invited on various topics that address the impact of COVID-19 crisis on food and nutrition security in the Eurasian region.
The objective of the call for proposals is to:
- generate policy-relevant evidence and identify policy options to alleviate the food and nutrition security impacts of the COVID-19 crisis, and
- foster collaboration between researchers in the Eurasia region in the area of food security and food policy research.
This call is open to researchers, lecturers and professors from Armenia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with an active research agenda in food and nutrition security.
Applications are accepted until May 31, 2020.
Knowledge of English and/or Russian language is a requirement. Collaboration between researchers in two or more countries is highly encouraged.
